I am DVRing Faster Pussycat and Mudhoney, and I have already seen all the Marx Bros. movies. You are preaching to the choir as far as I am concerned. I have been a huge fan of TCM for a few years now. I have found that you can find many better movies to watch on TCM than in your local multi-plex.

I was always so jealous when you'd brag about stuff you got to watch on this channel. I am a newbie to it.
Have never seen Faster Pussycat or Mudhoney.
Tonight I am going to go see 'The Prestiege'.

I watched Faster Pussycat and it was a messed up movie. You almost had no one to root for. I think it would make for a great remake if anyone had the guts to try.
How was the Prestige? I was a little scared by some of the reviews and I am not sure how a movie about magic would be in the age of digital effects.

I have yet to see all the shows that I taped on Friday night. This was a hectic weekend. Thus far I was able to view:
Mark Of The Vampire (1935)
Return of the Vampire, The (1944)
House Of Dark Shadows (1970)
During the week I will have to catch up on the others. Maybe tonight I'l watch Faster Pussycat so we can compare notes. :-)
The Prestiege was LONG!!! We saw the 6:30 showing, and didn't get out until after 9pm. But it was good. It focused more on the rivalry between Hugh Jackman's character and Cristian Bales than on magic. It was extremly dark, and there was a really great twist at the end. My mom liked The Illusion better than this one. Ida didn't see The Illusion, so she couldn't compare. I liked them both for different reasons. There is a twist at the end, if you'd really want me to tell you I will. But I don't want to ruin it for you, should you go to see it. Because even though you think you have the movie figured out...you don't. It's one of those types.

So I watched Faster Pussycat last night, before my regular programs.
Not what I thought it would be at all. I don't know what I expected, but it was not that.
I won't go so far as to say it was BAD. Just not on my things to watch again list.
Perhaps a remake or a longer version (so we could get a better read on the characters) is a good idea.

I watched Mudhoney last night and it was not my cup of tea. It was just weird. I liked Faster Pussycat more than Mudhoney. I thought Faster Pussycat was funny without really meaning to be funny. It is one I would watch again. The only thing Mudhoney offerd was topless girls, other than that, it was not that great.

There's certainly a great deal to know about this issue. I really like all of the points you made.
